1. Access the Settings Page
Navigate to the Settings section in your profile
2. Go to the Permissions Section
Within the Workspace, select "Permissions" to view and configure role-based access options
3. Initiate a New Custom Role
Click Create Custom Role to start setting up a new role under the Custom Role section
4. Define the Role Name
Enter a clear and identifiable name in the Role Name field to distinguish this role from others
5. Assign Members to the Role
Add the members who should have access to this role's permissions
6. Administer Review Cycle Permission
The Administer Review Cycle permission allows custom role admins to manage review cycle setup and phases, such as creating cycles, launching phases, and adding reviewees or reviewers, without accessing reviewee responses
7. Restrict Access by Group
By default, access is granted to all users. To limit access, click Add Group and select the specific group(s) that should have permission
8. Select Employees for Access
Choose the employees for whom the role members should have access. Use filters like Department, Location, and Managers to refine your selection
9. Add Employees Individually
You can also add specific employees one by one if needed
10. Save the Selection
Once you have set the access limitations, click Save to confirm
11. Add the Custom Role
Click Add Custom Role to create and apply the new role within the tool
12. Custom Role Admin View of Review Cycle
This view shows the review cycle from the perspective of a custom role admin. Here, the admin can manage the cycle setup and phases, including creating cycles, launching phases, and assigning reviewees or reviewers
13. Restricted Access to Reviewee Responses
Under the Reviewees tab, we can see that custom role admins do not have access to reviewee responses
