Creating other Reviewer Types (Peer, Direct Report)

1. Accessing the "Reviews" Section

On the left sidebar of your dashboard, click on the "Reviews" icon

Please Note: Only admins have the ability to create and configure a performance review cycle

2. Initiate a New Review Cycle

Click the "Create New Cycle" button located at the top right corner of the Reviews page

3. Choose Review Type

Select the type of review you want to create either a 360-degree review or a Performance review

4. Enter Review Title

Next, you will be taken to a page where you need to enter the review title. Click on the "Title" field

5. Enable Phases in the Configuration Page

Under the Configuration page, you can enable the phases you want to include in the review cycle

To activate Peer Review, switch on the Peer Review toggle button

7. Peer Selection & Approval Options

When Peer Review is enabled, you will see two options under Peer Selection and Approval:

  • Option 1: Reviewee-Driven Selection

    • Peers are selected by reviewees

    • You can also enable Peer Approval by Managers as an additional step

    • If enabled, managers will need to approve the peers chosen by reviewees

  • Option 2: Manager-Driven Selection

    • In this case, no approval step is needed since the manager selects the peers directly

8. Configuring Peer Review Settings

In this step, you can define how the peer review will work:

Define the minimum and maximum number of peers that employees need to select for the review

Enable this option if you want employees to select peers who are not part of the review cycle

Choose Peer Review Placement: Decide whether to,

  • Launch Peer Review as a separate phase, or

  • Include it under Write Reviews within the same cycle

9. Enable Direct Report Reviews

Turn on the Direct Report Review (Upward Review) toggle to allow direct reports to review their managers

This ensures that employees can provide feedback to the managers they report to directly

10. Configure Direct Report Settings

Within Direct Report settings, you have two options:

  • Include direct reports who are not part of the review cycle

  • Launch direct report review as a separate phase, instead of keeping it under the Write Reviews phase

11. Save and Continue Setup

After enabling the required phases for your review cycle, click "Save & Continue"

12. Create Review Forms

Under Forms, you will need to create the questions for the phases you have selected. Once the questions are set, click "Save & Continue" to proceed

13. Select Reviewees

Choose the Reviewees you want to include in the review cycle. Once selected, click "Save & Continue"

14. Add Reviewers for Peer Reviews

As an admin, you can manually add reviewers under the Reviewers tab. To do this, click Add Reviewers

15. Add Reviewers for Peer Reviews

Select the reviewer and reviewee. You can also update the relationship type if needed

Once you’re satisfied with the reviewer–reviewee mapping, click Add to save

16. Reviewer–Reviewee Mapping for Direct Reports

For Direct Reports, the reviewer–reviewee mapping will be pulled automatically from the tool

17. Verify and Launch Review Cycle

In the Verify stage, review the entire configuration you’ve set up for the review cycle. Click "Create Review Cycle" to finalize and launch
