1. Selecting Progress Type for Milestones
While creating goals under Measure Progress, you will need to select a progress type. Please note that milestones can be applied to any progress type except the default progress type
2. Setting Start and Target Values
Enter the start and target values for your progress type
3. Adding Milestones to Your Goal
To add milestones for your goal, click on the Add Milestones button located below the Measure Progress section
4. Select Milestone Calculation Method
After clicking Add Milestones, the Goal Milestones window will open. Under Summarize Progress, select the Last Value method. In this option last value achieved by any of milestones reflects on the parent goal
5. Enter Milestone Targets
After selecting the Summarize Progress method as Last Value, the start value for October 2025 and the end value for December 2025 are automatically populated based on the goal’s initial start and end values. In this example the selected goal cycle (Quarter 4, 2025), the cycle is divided across October, November, and December. By default, the goals start value appears under the October milestone and the target value under the December milestone, reflecting the goals overall start and end values. Note: Changing the start value of the first milestone or the target value of the last milestone will also update the goals overall start and target values
6. Click Save
After entering the values under Milestone Targets, click Save to create the milestones
7. Creating the Goal
After saving the milestones, click on the Create button to create the goal
8. October 2025 Check-In Progress Calculation
When the check-in for October 2025 is completed with a value of 10, the current progress will display 10 only, as the current progress displays the latest check-in value from the most recent month
9. November 2025 Check-In Progress Calculation
The current progress shows 15 because the system considers the latest check-in from the most recent month, and the check-in completed for November is 15
10. December 2025 Check-In Progress Calculation
The current progress shows 30 because the system considers the latest check-in from the most recent month, and the check-in completed for December is 30
11. Understanding Current Progress Updates
After updating the October check-in to 20, the current progress still shows 30 because the system displays the check-in value from the latest month
