1. Navigate to Goals Section
Go to the Goals module from the left navigation panel. This is where you can view all existing goals and begin the goal creation process

2. Initiate Goal Creation
On the top-right corner of the page, click the Create Goal button to start creating a new goal

3. Set the Objective for the Goal
Begin by defining the primary objective you want to achieve. This will serve as the main direction for the key results or milestones that follow

4. Use Goal Templates (Optional)
If you don’t want to create a goal from scratch, you can choose from the available templates. Templates come with predefined objectives and key results based on categories, making setup faster

5. Add a Description (Optional)
You can keep your objective concise and include additional context, details, or expectations in the Description field, if required. This step is optional

6. Choose Goal Cycle
Choose the appropriate goal cycle for your objective. When you click on the goal cycle dropdown, you will see all available cycles listed under Active, Upcoming, and Previous. Once selected, the start and due dates will auto-populate based on the chosen cycle, and you can adjust these dates manually if needed

7. Assign Goal Owner
Assign one or multiple owners to the goal. All assigned owners will receive notifications related to this goal and its progress updates

8. Select the Goal Type
Under Goal Type, select whether this goal is meant to be a Company Goal, Department Goal, or Individual Goal, depending on its purpose and scope

9. Enter the Department (For Department Goals)
If you are creating a Department Goal, ensure you specify the relevant department name. This is mandatory for department-level goals to be created

10. Set Goal Visibility
Choose the appropriate visibility level for the goal. Public makes the goal visible to everyone in the organization, Private restricts visibility to certain employees and Custom allows you to define specific visibility rules for selected individuals or teams

11. Add Tags to Your Goal
You can assign tags to your goal to categorize it by themes, functions, or strategic areas. Tags help in filtering, grouping, and managing goals more efficiently

12. Select the Progress Type
Choose the preferred Progress Type from the dropdown. This determines how progress will be measured and calculated for the goal

13. Select the Track Progress Method
Under Track Progress, you can choose one of three options:
-
Manually update progress on goals, where progress is updated through manual check-ins
-
Auto-update by rolling up from children, where progress is calculated automatically from key results
-
Auto-update from an external data source, where progress is synced automatically from an integrated data source

14. Default Progress Behavior
In this example, the “Manually update progress on goals” option is disabled because the selected Progress Type is Default. Default progress can only be calculated by rolling up progress from its key results

15. Add Key Result
Click on Add a Key Result to include measurable outcomes that indicate success toward the objective

16. Configure the Key Result
Create the key result by entering its title. You can optionally add a description to include expectations, target details, or additional context

17. Select Progress Type for Key Result
Similar to the objective setup, choose the appropriate Progress Type from the dropdown for your key result

18. Create Goal
Once you are satisfied with the configuration of the objective and the key results, click the Create button

19. View Created Goal
Your objective, along with its key results, will now appear under the selected goal cycle in the Goals module
