1. Navigate to Goals Module
Go to the "Goals" module from where you can create your goals
2. Create a New Goal
On the right-hand side, click the Create Goal button to initiate the goal creation process
3. Define Your Top-Level Objective
Enter the top-level objective that you want to achieve
4. Add Goal Description
You can optionally add additional details in the goal description text box to provide more context
5. Fill Goal Details
Fill in relevant details such as Goal Cycle, Owners, Goal Type, and Visibility to complete the goal setup
6. Set Progress Type
Select "Default Progress" as the progress type
7. Auto Roll-Up of Progress
With Default Progress, key result/child goal progress automatically averages into the parent goal by default
8. Selecting a Different Progress Type
You can select a progress type other than Default Progress (like Number, Custom Percentage, or Currency)
Make sure all child goals/key results use the same progress type and select “Auto update by rolling up from children” so progress rolls up automatically to the parent goal
9. Finalize Goal Creation
Once you’re satisfied with the goal configuration, click Create to finalize your goal
10. Check Progress Roll-Up
After creating the goal, hover over the progress indicator to view the progress type
11. Progress Roll-Up Depends on Matching Progress Types
Here, the parent goal shows 65 under Current progress. Only child goals/key results with the same progress type as the parent are included in the auto roll-up. Check-ins with different progress types are not reflected
